McDivitt/Director, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System will discuss. Jack Roush, of the Jack Roush racing team and P-51 Mustang pilot will tell us about the upcoming race in Texas, November 3, featuring the 3M/Roush Race car that will be raced in honor of the “Hire the Hero’s” campaign. And we’ll also have Michael G. Smith, Director, WCDVA (Washtenaw County Department of Veterans Affairs), a real VSO officer, will tell us all about the services that Veterans Service Officers provide.
10/26/13 AT EASE with Dwight Zimmerman and his guests. Philip Keith, 2013 MWSA silver medal winner for Blackhorse Riders, returns to AT EASE to discuss his account of a bookend-type battle in his book Firebase Illingworth: An Epic True Story of Remarkable Courage Against Staggering Odds. Captain Edward Zellem, USN, has written one of the most remarkable books in recent memory about Afghanistan. A 2013 MWSA gold medal winner, his ZARBUL MASALHA 151 Afghan Dari Proverbs, is a fascinating and touching collaborative effort between Zellem and Afghan scholars and students that reveals the richness of Afghan culture, something too long overshadowed by decades of violence.
