Gettysburg- 150 Years Later-Part 1. Join host Dale Throneberry and guests for an in-depth discussion of what the Battle of Gettysburg meant to the future of the United States of America. What would have happened if Lee had won the battle?

Our guests include Craig L. Symonds, Professor Emeritus of the United States Naval Academy where he taught Civil War history for thirty years. He is one of America’s most respected Civil War historians. His Civil War books include Gettysburg: A Battlefield Atlas, The American Heritage History of the Battle of Gettysburg, and many other articles about Gettysburg and the Civil War.

Wayne Vansant is the author and illustrator of The Graphic History of Gettysburg. This beautifully illustrated book describes the period leading up to the Battle of Gettysburg, as well all of the major military events on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, including the famous fight for Little Round Top and the death march known as Pickett’s Charge. He paints portraits of each army’s leaders, among them Robert E. Lee, James Longstreet, George Meade, and the then little-known Joshua Chamberlain.

And Veterans Radio contributor and author Dwight Jon Zimmerman.
